Binter Canarias (Binter), the flag carrier airline of the Canary Islands, Spain, has signed an agreement with aircraft manufacturer ATR to acquire four new ATR 72-600 aircraft as part of its ongoing fleet modernisation strategy. The deal also includes an option to purchase five additional units, reinforcing Binter's commitment to operating a state-of-the-art fleet, a key characteristic that has earned the airline international recognition.
The ATR 600-series aircraft are the most fuel-efficient in the regional aviation sector, consuming 45% less fuel and emitting 45% less CO2 than regional jets of a similar size. This makes them an environmentally friendly choice aligned with the airline's sustainability goals.
