Evia Aero and Britten-Norman sign LoI for 15 Islander aircraft

Evia Aero, a pioneering German company committed to revolutionising European travel through sustainable and carbon-neutral aviation, has signed a letter of intent (LoL) with Britten-Norman to purchase 15 new Britten-Norman Islander aircraft.

Deliveries of the 15 Islander aircraft are set to begin in early 2027. Following delivery, the aircraft will be converted into zero-emissions platforms, powered by advanced hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion systems.

In addition to the purchase agreement, the partnership encompasses a redesign of the Islander's interior to create a next-generation passenger experience. These enhancements will combine improved passenger comfort and functionality with full compatibility for sustainable aviation technologies.

This collaboration seeks to establish new standards for regional travel by introducing practical, zero-emissions aircraft powered by green energy generated on-site at regional airports. The initiative aligns with Evia Aero's strategy to implement sustainable, point-to-point regional air routes connecting Europe's economic hubs, providing passengers with a climate-neutral and time-efficient travel alternative.
