H55, a frontrunner in electric propulsion technology, and Elfly Group, an innovator in zero-emission regional air travel, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bring the BRM Aero B23 Energic, the first fully electric EASA CS-23 certified aircraft, to the Nordic market. Under the agreement, Elfly Group will acquire three B23 Energic aircraft through the exclusive Founders' Edition programme, with options for two more. Deliveries of the first units are planned for 2026, marking a significant step in introducing electric aviation to the region.
The partnership establishes Elfly Group as the distributor for the B23 Energic in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Together with H55 and Bristell (BRM Aero), the manufacturer of the B23 aircraft, the collaboration aims to advance sustainable aviation by introducing next-generation electric aircraft, offering maintenance training, marketing green aviation solutions and providing leasing options to flight schools and private users. Ahead of certified aircraft delivery, Elfly Group will also gain access to an experimental aircraft to support operational readiness.
The Nordic market launch will begin with a demonstration tour in early 2025. During this tour, the two-seater aircraft, which boasts an endurance of 60 minutes plus reserves, will be showcased at flight schools and pilot training academies across the region. Pilots will have the chance to test the aircraft, highlighting its potential to transform regional pilot training and air mobility.
This milestone partnership represents a shared vision for innovation, accessibility, and environmental stewardship in aviation. By proving the feasibility of zero-emission aircraft, scaling infrastructure, and inspiring the global adoption of sustainable practices, the introduction of the B23 Energic sets a precedent for greener and more efficient air transport. It addresses critical industry challenges while paving the way for a quieter and cleaner future in aviation.
