Qantas to invest AU$100 million in worldwide lounge network upgrade

Australian flag-carrying airline Qantas has announced its intention to make significant improvements to its worldwide network of passenger lounges. The focus of attention will be on improving the level of luxury while also increasing the number of lounges. This will be the biggest investment Qantas has made in the last ten years where its lounges are concerned.

The airline will be creating four brand-new lounges, including the Hobart Qantas Club, the New Broome Regional Lounge and a flagship First Lounge in London Heathrow Airport. Beyond this there will also be extensive improvements to existing lounges, including a refreshed Hong Kong International Lounge, a complete refurbishment of the International Business Lounge in Sydney, and an updating and expansion of the International Business Lounge in Melbourne.
