Shearwater signs for up to 16 Eve eVTOLs

Eve Air Mobility has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with aviation finance company Shearwater Global Capital for up to 16 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

The agreement marks Shearwater’s entry into the advanced air mobility (AAM) leasing market since joining Bay Point in April 2026. The company plans to expand its aviation finance platform beyond traditional assets to include next-generation aircraft.

As part of the agreement, Shearwater and Bay Point intend to use Eve’s order backlog to offer leasing solutions that improve operators’ access to eVTOL aircraft and support fleet deployment.

The companies will also explore additional financing opportunities as demand grows for advanced air mobility and lower-emissions aviation solutions.
