Etihad becomes latest A330 customer

Etihad Airways (Etihad) has placed a firm order for six A330-900 aircraft, becoming the latest airline to join the A330neo customer base. The carrier has also confirmed orders for seven additional A350-1000s, bringing its total for the type to 27, and three more A350F freighters, increasing its A350F commitment to ten aircraft.

The agreement was signed during the Dubai Airshow, where Etihad also announced plans to lease nine A330-900s from Avolon, further strengthening its medium- and long-haul fleet as well as its cargo capabilities.
