Qantas has announced an order for 20 additional Airbus A321XLR aircraft, further expanding its largest-ever fleet renewal programme. Sixteen of the new aircraft will feature lie-flat Business-class seats and seat-back entertainment screens, marking the first time Qantas will offer lie-flat seating on its narrow-body fleet. These aircraft will serve longer domestic routes, including transcontinental flights to and from Perth, as well as short- and medium-haul international services across South East Asia and the Pacific Islands.
The new A321XLRs are scheduled to arrive from 2028, bringing Qantas
