Embraer has secured a firm order from SkyWest for 60 E175 aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional 50 planes. Deliveries are set to begin in 2027, with the contract valued at US$3.6 billion included in Embraer's Q2 backlog.
Currently, SkyWest operates a fleet of 263 E-Jets and holds a backlog of 16 more aircraft. The airline's continued investment in the E175 supports its long-term strategy to enhance its dual-class service and maintain its reputation for offering a premier regional flying experience.
