StandardAero has extended its long-standing partnership with Nok Airlines Public Company (Nok Air) by continuing to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the airline's CFM International CFM56-7B turbofan engines. These engines power Nok Air's fleet of fourteen Boeing 737-800 narrow-body aircraft, which serve routes across Thailand, Southeast Asia, East Asia and South Asia.
As an authorised CFM56-7B MRO provider, StandardAero has already received two of Nok Air's engines at its Winnipeg facility in Canada. The company has a strong history with Nok Air, having previously supported the airline's Pratt & Whitney Canada PW150A engines on its former Dash 8-400 turboprop fleet. Mario Romano, StandardAero's Airline Sales Director, emphasised the company's commitment to delivering reliable and cost-effective support, helping Nok Air maintain its reputation as a cheerful and dependable carrier across Asia.
Since 2010, StandardAero has supported CFM56-7B operators worldwide from its Winnipeg base and recently expanded these capabilities to its DFW International Airport facility in Texas. This additional location allows StandardAero to better meet the growing demand for Boeing 737NG engine maintenance and offers customers the reassurance of dual test cell availability.
Beyond engine MRO, StandardAero also provides component repair, asset management, and engine health monitoring services for the CFM56 engine family, offering comprehensive aftermarket support. Nok Air, a premium budget airline, remains focused on delivering high-quality, convenient services across its extensive domestic and international network, including routes to India and China.
