Vietjet orders 20 new Airbus A330-900 aircraft

Vietjet, Vietnam's largest private airline, has placed an order for 20 Airbus A330-900 aircraft, marking a major step in its strategic growth plans over the next decade. The agreement was formalised in Hanoi, with Vietjet Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao and Airbus International President Wouter van Wersch signing the deal. The signing was witnessed by French President Emmanuel Macron and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, during President Macron's official visit to Vietnam.

This major order supports Vietjet's ambitions to expand its international network, particularly on high-capacity routes across the Asia-Pacific region and new long-haul routes to Europe. The A330neo aircraft are expected to deliver greater efficiency and fuel savings, enabling the airline to meet growing passenger demand while advancing its sustainability goals.
